Can you believe it’s that time of year again?
Santa will be preparing his sleigh and Rudolph will be eating as much fodder as he can!
Here in Ryedale, we are spoilt for choice with things to do during the festive build up.
Our area has lots to keep us interested and excited as Christmas Day approaches, and our friendly, professional drivers can get you from A to B in comfort and style …
One of the first events is being held at Castle Howard, from Saturday 16th November to Sunday 5th January 2020, called A Christmas Masquerade.
This magnificent stately home between Malton and York hosts a festive spectacle that will include jaw-dropping decorations, open fire, candlelight, live music, Christmas shopping, delicious food, Santa’s Grotto and lots more.
Malton, sometimes known as Yorkshire’s Food Capital offers two opportunities to stock up on Christmas goodies before ‘the big day’.
With a number of foodie businesses situated in Talbot Yard which is close to the Market Square, the markets take place outside and inside the Milton Rooms.
There are various Christmas Lights Switch-On throughout the region with Pickering’s taking place on Saturday 30th November and in Thornton-Le–Dale on Saturday 7th December.
Kirkbymoorside, often considered the gateway to the moors, will host a Christmas Market on Saturday 30th November.
In addition to the above events, lots of our lovely villages, communities and organisations will hold Christmas fairs and similar to get everyone into the festive spirit. These include a Christmas Through Time event at Ryedale Folk Museum on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December; a Christmas Fair at Scampston Hall, Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December; events across the North York Moors National Park and not forgetting the Santa Specials on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
Here at the Station Taxis office, we are now encouraging our customers to book their taxis in advance where possible. The festive time is a busy one for us as we can also take you to and from your Christmas parties.
Please note all events and dates are correct at time of publishing. Please check the above events are taking place before you travel, thank you!
