Forest Live at Dalby 2017
Posted on 18th June 2017 at 08:12
Just a few miles ‘up the road’ is Dalby Forest, the venue for this year’s spectacular Forest Live concerts.
Not one but two legendary pop artists will be performing amongst the trees on June 23rd and June 24th 2017.
First up is 80s pop icon Rick Astley, one of the UK’s most successful solo artists.
With three decades in ‘the business’, his latest album, ‘50’ is bound to get folks dancing the night away!
Those of us who have reached a certain age will remember Rick singing in the late 1980s with the catchy number one hit ‘Never Gonna Give You Up’, which set him on the road to fame.
And if Rick wasn’t enough, Elbow is playing at the same venue on the following evening, Saturday 24th June.
The band is one of the most important in contemporary British music, taking part in the prestigious closing ceremony at the 2012 London Olympics.
The band released their latest album, ‘Little Fictions’ back in February.
Doubtless even the leaves on the trees will be swaying to the music!
Forest Live takes place in the heart of Dalby Forest, not far from Pickering, and just a short drive away for Station Taxi drivers.
The gates open at 6pm, support from 7.50pm for Rick Astley, and from 7.35pm for Elbow. The headliners will appear at 9pm and 8.45pm on their respective nights, with concerts finishing at around 10.40pm.
Forest Live at Dalby Forest is a spectacular outdoor venue so you’re advised to bring appropriate clothing, foldaway chairs and there’s food and drinks available at the venue. And you can bring a picnic!
If you’ve got your tickets and you want to really relax, enjoy first-rate music in an incredible setting, let us be part of helping you enjoy these great concerts!
