Help Raise Funds on Race Day at York!
Posted on 12th June 2017 at 14:24
York’s prestigious racecourse is just a short drive ‘up the road’!
June’s events include Mid Summer Raceday on Friday 16th and the Macmillan Charity Raceday on Saturday 17th.
The first race gets underway at 1.50pm both days at York Racecourse.
Time to sit back, relax and enjoy the atmosphere of one of Europe’s best-known horse racing venues.
York’s historic connections with the sport can be traced back to 1530, while its current location at the Knavesmire was first used two hundred years later.
The famous shape of York Racecourse – rather aptly in the form of a curved horseshoe – was the result of some serious drainage and skilled landscaping.
Royal Ascot and the St Leger have both been held here too.
So to enjoy one of the key sporting events of the summer, be enthralled by the thud of hooves without the worry of getting from A to B, book your taxi today.
Book your taxi with us from Malton 01653 696969 or from Pickering 01751 617181 or by clicking here.
Various ticket prices apply at York Racecourse depending on where you want to view the action.
