It’s fun, it’s busy and it’s glorious – that’s Ryedale Show!
This one day extravaganza take place on Tuesday 31st July 2018 and will be the 152nd ‘outing’ for this respected agricultural event.
The trade stands, show rings and livestock take over a large field at Welburn Park, Kirkbymoorside, deep in the heart of Ryedale.
The show held its first event in 1855 and has become renowned for its excellent standard of entries in all sections and for the great variety in trade stands which increase year on year.
Ryedale Show brings together the farming community and townsfolk and provides a spectacular attraction for all the family.
The field at Welburn Park in set within a natural amphitheatre and includes no less than eight show rings that run throughout the day. Prime cattle, horses, sheep, pigs and goats are proudly exhibited. Read all about the livestock and farm produce schedules here while horses get their own schedule here.
Let’s not forget the fun and funky fur and feather tent, local produce, the WI, YCA and children’s classes. And it would not be an agricultural show without sheep dog trials and the dog show. Trophies and prize money are all up for grabs.
If shopping is your ‘thing’ then over 200 trade stands are expected to set up stall in this friendly family atmosphere. Find out more here!
The show also takes place thanks to donations, subscriptions and helpers who make this special event possible.
